#Tag Your Turf
1. Overview of the Contest
When we launched the Tag Your Turf graffiti challenge, we hoped to see creativity rooted in culture — and you all over-delivered.
From vivid city skylines to intricate local landmarks and scripts in regional languages, every entry showcased the raw talent and unique voice of the Banna community. We were genuinely blown away by the artistry, storytelling, and effort that went into each submission. To be honest — choosing the winners was the hardest part. If it were up to us, everyone would take home a prize!
But after careful evaluation and hours of discussion, the results are finally in.
2. Rules of the Contest
To recap, here’s how the Tag Your Turf Challenge worked:
-
Participants were asked to sketch or design the word “Banna” in their own native language, blended with a visual element that represented their city, town, or local identity.
-
Artists had to share a photo and/or video of their design process and finished artwork on Instagram.
-
Participants were required to tag Banna and add us as a collaborator on their post.
-
The contest was open for entries until June 9, with winners announced on June 12.

Honoring a Wildcard Entry
One entry truly stood out for its originality — an artist who carved the word “Banna” into a piece of wood. While it didn’t follow the exact contest rules, the creativity and craftsmanship blew us away. To honor the effort and passion behind this unique piece, we’re awarding the artist a Banna Wood Polish Spray as a token of appreciation.
4. How & Why We Chose the Winners
Our judging criteria included:
-
Creative Integration: How well the word “Banna” was represented in native language and merged with visual elements.
-
Artistic Execution: Line work, color use, and concept strength.
-
Relevance: How effectively the design celebrated the artist’s local identity or hometown pride.
-
Originality: We wanted to see unique styles and perspectives.
Our first-place winner stood out for their exceptional composition, cultural symbolism, and a visual language that truly resonated with what graffiti is all about — personal expression meets public space.
5. The Motto Behind the Contest
At Banna, we believe graffiti isn’t just paint on a wall — it’s a statement. It’s where identity meets creativity, where stories of streets are told through spray cans.
The Tag Your Turf Challenge was born out of this idea:
To celebrate your roots, your streets, your words, and your art.
We wanted to see how your local inspires your global expression — and you delivered that with every can stroke.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. For those who didn’t win this time — don’t worry, we’re just getting started. Bigger things are on the way, so keep your caps clean and your ideas flowing.
Stay tuned.
Stay Banna.
